How many guests can Casa Kimball accommodate?

This depends on your group and the accommodation preferences for couples, singles, and children.

In addition, the villa is equipped with 3 deluxe air mattresses and 2 pack and play with mattresses and bedding for babies.

Should additional bedrooms be required, groups of Casa Kimball have the benefit of annexing to Villa Bali Dreams. This is a very attractive modern Bali style villa directly across the street from Casa Kimball. By combining these 2 rentals there would be an additional 5 bedrooms, a tennis court, 2nd pool and 2nd hot tub available to your group.

The Area

Dominican Republic is located in the West Indies, ideally situated close to the United States, just a little southeast of Cuba in the Caribbean. It occupies the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola, with the North Atlantic Ocean to the North and the Caribbean Sea to the South.

Casa Kimball is on the north coast of the Island near Playa Grande world class golf and beach. Vast stretches of white sand beaches, spectacular vistas of mountainous terrain lush with tropical vegetation and expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean all form the impressive north coast.

Casa Kimball is located on the edge of the town of Cabrera, perched on a 15m (45ft) cliff that juts into the Atlantic ocean and is cooled by steady ocean breezes. There is a pathway leading down to a sandy, deserted beach–one of three in the gated community. The area is unspoiled by tourism: crystal-clear lakes and wide open beaches, discretely situated villas and European boutique hotels, friendly locals and outdoor merengue bars in the nearby town. It’s the essence of relaxed Caribbean beauty.

— Casa Kimball looks amazing. Please tell us a bit about the architecture and interior design of the villa.

Spencer: “The villa has been designed in the modern architectural style. It’s a holistic approach with a distinct focus on blending structure, materials and purpose with the natural beauty of the location, most famously exemplified by Frank Lloyd Wright. The architect, Jasmit Rangr, of Rangr Studios in New York City, spent almost three years and close to 25 visits to the Dominican Republic to complete the design and construction. The villa’s interior naturally follows the palette of materials and textures used for the exterior: Brazilian hardwood ceilings in the same wood as the window and door frames, custom cabinetry, bars & dining table; and native, white travertine walls and floors that flow seamlessly from the outside in.”

— What was your inspiration to rent out the villa as a 360 Luxury vacation rental?

Spencer: “I built Casa Kimball in order to have a home in which I can go to relax by the pool any day of the year. However, heading south from New York City that many degrees of latitude requires time and so I enjoy perhaps 10 visits a year. The other 42 weeks the villa can be rented for weddings, family reunions, special birthdays, gatherings of friends, and corporate retreats. Having a full house is great for the villa and great for the staff.”

— Would you describe it as the house of your dreams?

Spencer: “Absolutely. It is truly a magical place and a one-of-a-kind property. Every time I’m there, the outside world, with its incessant demands and concerns, recedes to a comfortable distance. I’m able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the house and the Caribbean, and to really connect with the friends and family I’ve invited along for the trip.”

— Please tell us a bit about the facilities and the services you offer as part of the vacation rental.

Spencer: “Having resided in other luxury private villa rentals, we wanted to be sure that Casa Kimball provides our vacation guests with a quality experience and full services by attentive and friendly staff. Meals are always a big part of any vacation experience and they are executed perfectly by our chef and kitchen staff. The tri-lingual villa manager is available for planning prior to arrival and is there to personally assist with and oversee any of the details required for the duration of the vacation.”
