This little beach oasis doesn’t look like much, but it has an intensely loyal following, from wallet-watching windsurfers to wealthy capitaleño families. Menu names, which reflect the jargon of its surfers, include the Rocker (grilled marinated beef with onions, peppers, tomato, and tzitiki on a soft pita). Get an energy kick from yogurt-and-mango smoothies and organic vegetable drinks. Fresh-squeezed juices have morphed into the most interesting, tropical cocktails. An extremely family- and dog-friendly place, there’s an extensive children’s menu and beach toys to entertain. The new owner, Antonello Cannistra, a restaurant pro, has kept all of the Eze positivos by day but by night Eze transforms into “Antonello,” with a chic and romantic ambience. The Mediterranean menu is full of fresh carpaccios, sea food, pasta, and meat dishes. There are a wide variety of events now, including jazz nights and on the first Saturday of every month a theme party with DJs and often an art installation.
NATURA RESTAURANT AT NATURA CABANA
If you’re staying at this beachfront eco-lodge, you’ll likely take most of your meals here. If not, definitely go, not only for the freshest of seafood, but for the soothing ambience. Seafood is at the heart of the menu here, and appropriately so, because diners listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on coral rock as they fork the catch of the day. The menu changes with the seasons while holding tight to some perennial favorites. The vegetables and herbs are farmed at Natura’s organic garden.
